Solzhenitsyn Scores Consolation Win Michael Rodd produced one of the rides of the Brisbane winter carnival to land Solzhenitsyn a consolation winner at Doomben on Saturday. Solzhenitsyn was being set for the Group One Doomben Cup (2000m) on Saturday but trainer Robert Heathcote missed the early acceptance pay up! The gelding was then entered for the Group Three Lord Mayor's Cup (1600m) where he was sent out the $2.40 favourite despite drawing the outside alley but he had won the race last year !
Solzhenitsyn may dodge potentially wet track at Doomben By:Ben Dorries Courtesy From:The Courier-Mail ROB Heathcote has come to terms with his blooper with Solzhenitsyn and says there is a growing chance his Group 1 winner may dodge a potentially wet track on Saturday and could head straight to the Stradbroke Handicap. After Heathcote inadvertently missed the acceptance deadline for this Saturday's Doomben Cup, Solzhenitsyn was then set for the 1600m Lord Mayor's Cup on the same day. But after an early morning gallop on a heavy track at Doomben yesterday, Heathcote indicated he would scratch last spring's Toorak Handicap winner if the track did not dry out significantly before Saturday. " He clearly is not at his best on a wet track", Heathcote said.
Owner Bruce Harry is enjoying the ride with his mate Buffering FROM immature footballer to successful businessman, triumphant racehorse owner and now happy family man, Bruce Harry is within reach of having Group 1-winning owner added to his list of credits. Once deemed a good enough five-eighth to force Wally Lewis to lock, Harry had a post-footy career in real estate that allowed him to pursue an ambition to race fast horses. In Buffering - a $22,000 purchase who has delivered his owners $2.24 million prizemoney and priceless memories - he found one of the fastest horses in the land.

You may wish to join a partnership or you and some friends would like us to get a race horse for you.
It can be a daunting task getting involved in a racehorse without experience so we will take away the hassles and make it as affordable and convenient as possible.
