Group III winning mare Fillydelphia is top pick for Saturday’s Listed Tattersall’s Recognition Stakes (1600m) at Eagle Farm after markets were released on Wednesday.
The Robert Heathcote-trained galloper is the $1.85 favourite with TAB Sportsbet to record her fourth win this campaign and her ninth in 21 career starts.
Fillydelphia posted her second black-type victory when defeating stablemate Humma in the Listed Brisbane Handicap (1630) at Doomben last time out.
The main danger to Fillydelphia’s chance is the Toowoomba gelding Carry Me Bluey, who receives a 4kg weight relief off his female counterpart.
Carry Me Bluey’s quote of $3.50 is reflected by the fact the fast-finishing son of Carry The Flag has only been unplaced three times in 17 career starts.
Humma is the only other runner under double figure odds at $9.50 while Wonderful Lass and Pepperwood share the fourth line of betting at $11.
Free-running galloper and likely pacemaker Rockdale is at $15.
The Eagle Farm track is currently rated a dead (4) with the rail in the true position for the meeting.
