Michael O'Leary
Michael is 26 years old and comes from a strong racing family. Originally from Rockhampton, Michael has grown up with horse and hes worked for leading trainers, Rex Lipp and Lyle Rowe before joining the team at Rob Heathcote racing. Michael is in charge of Robs Mein Street stables and he is responsible for the daily routine and stable and horse management. He s a trusted and crucial member of the team.

Melissa Leitch
Melissa originally hails from Tassie, she has worked in the racing industry for 20 years. Mel is a senior experienced rider who has a real passion for getting the best out of the horses. Mel works closely with Rob in and around the office and on race days. A valuable senior member of the team.

 Sophie Baker
Sophie comes to us with many years experience in the racing and breeding industry in New Zealand. Sophie has recently spent 3 years in Victoria. Here she travelled with Group horses to various carnivals and was involved in running a Satellite Stable in Warrnambool for Darren Weir. Sophie gained a Diploma in Racing while in Victoria. Sophie is in Rob's office for any queries you may have on your accounts or horses progress.

Debbie Peterson
Debbie has been with Robs stable for several years now and she has a real passion and love of the horses. Debbie loves a real grooming session with the horses and she is a valuable member of the staff. Debbie works on the ground at the Mein Street stables.

Paul Green
Paul, originally from new Zealand but we don’t hold that against him! Paul has many years in the industry and loves the game. Likes a bet and is usually a good judge. Paul works out of the Mein street and On course stable.

Stephen Wright
Steve is one of Robs longer serving staff members coming a long way from when he first started. He's had a few breaks from Racing with extended periods on the side lines through a couple of horrific race falls but Steve has always bounced back strongly. He is an extremely competent and experienced track rider who has a very good understanding of a racehorse. He has an excellent outlook on life which makes him a pleasure to have working for us. Gets on well with everyone and always with a bright outlook.

Renita Beaton
Renita is a valuable asset to our stables. Renita hails from 'across the ditch' and Renita is an extremely competent senior track work rider who loves her job. Renita has a fantastic attitude and a complete understanding of thoroughbred racehorses. It's a pleasure having this lovely 'Kiwi' as a part of our team.

Peter Spargo
Peter is a very valuable asset to the whole operation. Pete is the longest serving staff member of mine, basically having been with me since I started in the racing industry. I rate him one of the best track riders at Eagle Farm with a lovely set of hands who rides on a long rein and gets even the tough horses to travel 'sweet' for him. He has a very good clock in his head with the only major failing being his support for the Parramatta Eels!

Tom Elmes
Tom is an important member of the management team. . He comes from Augathella, West Queensland on a sheep and beef farm. Tom has had experience on stud farms and with other trainers in Queensland such as Pat Duff. Recently , before coming to us, Tom spent some time in Bendigo, Victoria, working for trainer Sean Dwyer. Tom is from a racing family and owns a couple of his own race horses that run around the bush.

Candice Persign
Candice is working her Batchelor Of Equine Science from the University of Queensland at Gatton. Candice is an important team member and she has a genuine love of horses.

Erik Whitmore
A keen Blue supporter from NSW Erik has been a member of Rob's staff  for about nine months. Erik comes to Rob's stable having plenty of experience with racehorses after working for Barry Baldwin and Brian Guy. Erik has a wonderful nature around the horses and loves to strap. He is very passionate about the industry and a hard worker.

Lisa Peterson
Lisa comes to us after studying a Bachelor of Applied Science, majoring in Equine Science at Gatton University.  She has been with us a few months now and brings a lot of knowledge and great horse handling skills to our stable. Lisa has her own horses and will often be seen strapping horses at her home town Ipswich.  Lisa is the quiet one but very effective.

Dave Kehoe
Dave is one of the newest members to the Heathcote team. Dave rides track work for us every morning and straps at the races.  Dave, last season,  was awarded the' Eagle Farm track work rider of the year' for his enthusiasm and diligence!

Priscilla Balshaw
Priscilla is the newest member of staff to join the Heathcote team and can be found working from the Eagle Farm oncourse stable. Priscilla comes from Byron Bay where her parents have a trail riding business. New to the racing game, She is enthusiastic about her job and eager to learn.

Chris McMullen - Farrier
An extremely important member of the stable team is the Farrier, Chris McMullen. Chris has been with Rob for 10 years and is a very highly rated farrier with in the industry. He has a very good working relationship with Rob and his team.

Charlie - Black kelpie x Blue healer cross. Hes been with the stable since birth, always full of enthusiasm and happy to see you, especially late at night in the dark! Just try me!!!!

Dee Jay - Tan.Staffie Bull terrier….inherited from Rob Ciobo, he looks menacing and his bark is definitely far worse than his bite. Makes lots of noise and he does his job around the yard!
